About the Savage 24B
Savage's Model 24 is a break-action over/under combination gun with a rimfire rifle barrel over a shotgun barrel. It descends from the earlier Stevens/Savage Model 22 and 24 lines. Many variants exist (24, 24S, 24B, 24DL, 24-V and others) with different calibers, barrel lengths and finishes. The 24B designation is understood to belong to the mid-production period, details unverified.
