If you have inherited firearms, ammunition or reloading equipment in the Phoenix area and need them handled securely, legally and without pressure, we buy them. Estate Guns & Ammo is a licensed, bonded Arizona FFL run by a father-and-son team with 55 years of law enforcement service between them. We come to you, make every gun safe, document each one, and bring back a line-by-line offer you can check for yourself.
How it works
- We visit and catalog. We set a time that suits you, come to the home, make each firearm safe and record it by make, model and serial number. The guns stay with you while we do this.
- We research prices. Back at the office we look up recent sold prices for every item and build a spreadsheet, one line per gun, box of ammunition or accessory.
- You get an itemized offer. We return with the offer in writing and show you how we arrived at every number. Take your time with it; there is no deadline and nothing to sign on the spot.
- You accept and get paid. On acceptance you receive a bill of sale, the firearms are entered in our federal acquisition records, and payment is made up front.
How we price
Most families have never sold a firearm and have no way to know what a fair number looks like, so we show our work. For each gun we find roughly eight recent sales of the same model, take the average of the three closest matches, and deduct a flat 20% margin. That puts our offer at about 80% of what the gun is selling for right now. Ammunition is priced at 40% below the lowest current selling price. Accessories are valued at wholesale. You see the comparable sales we used, so you can check them yourself.
For comparison, our own observation of the local market is that pawn shops typically pay 25 to 50% of market, big-box trade-in programs 40 to 60%, and local gun shops 50 to 65%.
What we buy
- Single firearms and whole collections: rifles, shotguns, pistols, revolvers, black powder and antiques
- Ammunition, loaded or partial boxes, any caliber
- Reloading equipment: presses, dies, scales, brass, bullets, powder and primers
- Holsters, scopes, magazines, cases, knives and other accessories
You do not have to be settling an estate. We buy from anyone in the Phoenix area who wants a documented, fair sale.
Where we go

Common questions
Who buys used guns in Glendale, AZ?
We do, and we come to you. Our mailing address is in Glendale and most of our visits are in the Northwest Valley.
How do I sell a deceased parent's guns in Arizona?
Arizona has no state registration of firearms, and a lawful heir may possess and sell the guns they inherit. Selling to a licensed dealer is the simplest route because the dealer records the acquisition in their federal bound book and handles the paperwork from there, and once a dealer owns a firearm it can only be sold again to a buyer who passes a background check. We wrote a longer answer here: How to sell a deceased parent's guns in Arizona.
Do I need to know what the guns are?
No. Identifying, dating and researching each firearm is our job. Leave them where they are; do not try to unload them if you are unsure how.
Will you appraise the collection?
Every offer we make comes with a written, itemized appraisal of the whole collection and the comparable sales we used to value each piece, and you are under no obligation to accept it.
Can we sell some and keep the rest?
Yes. The offer is itemized, so you can accept it for some pieces and keep others.
