About the Smith & Wesson 3000
The Model 3000 is a 12-gauge pump-action shotgun that Smith & Wesson marketed in the early 1980s. Howa of Japan manufactured it under contract. It was offered in field, slug and riot/police configurations. S&W later replaced it with the Mossberg-made Model 1000 series and other Mossberg-sourced pumps. Exact production dates and quantities are unknown to me.
